Description
In this E-book each of the lyrics on Goddess singer Lindie-Lila's Sisters of the Moon album is portrayed as a mandala artwork. These visual journeys embody the essence of the accompanied songs. "While I was musing the songs into being, I was touched by the fertile and aesthetic grace of the Goddess. I felt a deep urge to draw the shapes of my songs and melodies, weaving them into twirls, circles and sways on paper. Repetitive rhythmic percussion evolved into gentle geometrical structures, symmetry and form. This in turn urged my body into motion, and I found myself dancing waves of sensuality. Each image became a mirror into my own inner landscape." -Lindie-Lila The Sisters of the Moon album is a collection of sensual healing chants embodying the feminine divine to take you on a journey into the sacred and subconscious mysteries of the Goddess. Playful, gentle and sultry vocals, embellished with soothing flutes and alluring strings are supported and grounded by meditative drones and percussion. The music is intended to awaken kundalini, thereby creating awareness of the divine feminine within to facilitate the tantric merging of yin and yang. The album explores a sensual connection with the divine through sound and the receptive quality of water and the emotions. It is transforming, uplifting world music channelled from a higher consciousness to bring inner healing and retrieve lost parts of the soul.
About the author
Apart from loving everything Goddess, Lila is inspired by the vibrancy of world music instruments and has extensively studied and taught Middle Eastern dance and music. With formal jazz training as a vocalist, she produces healing world music that moves with spirit and touches the soul. Lila is inspired by nature and has a deep connection with water and the ocean. She lives in Durban, South Africa and has traveled to places as far afield as Egypt and Australia in search of world music and dance inspiration. On May 10th 2013, Goddess Music is releasing Lindie Lila’s new age album titled Sisters of the Moon, a collection of original new age healing Goddess chants accompanied by world music instruments and electronic grooves. The release is a follow up of her previous Goddess chant album Return of the Goddess (2008), which featured “We all come from the Goddess”, a chant by Zsuszanna Budapest. In addition to Lila’s own songs, the new album includes an a-Capella version of the traditional Goddess chant “May the Circle be Open”, as well as Lila’s own world music rendition of “Gayatri Mantra”.
