Publishers Weekly called Valerie Wilcox's debut mystery, Sins of Silence, "distinctive and intriguing." Now her sleuthing sailing instructor returns in a thrilling new adventure . . . A run of bad weather means a slow season at Larstad's Marina in Seattle, home of Kellie Montgomery's Sound Sailing offices. But Mother Nataure isn't the only source of an ill wind. A day that starts with Kellie being held at gunpoint by a delusional environmentalist ends witht the news that her friend Pearl, a hardy--and wealthy--seventy-five-year-old seafarer, is missing. As Kellie prepares to do battle with an extremist group who wants live-aboards like herself ousted from their sailboat homes, she also takes on the task of finding her friend. Then, when Pearl's family doesn't seem to welcome her help, Kellie's suspicions--and life--is put to the test.
