The author covers how he climbed from the depths of despair, but then spends the bulk of the book describing with glee his hilarious perspectives on love, funerals, German grammar, evolution, women's breasts, mail-in rebates and the like.

Dan Stark was a successful lawyer for 27 years, the last 21 with AT&T, before retiring in 2004, in order to write. He has published two books (Silence of the Bunnies and Gelding Goliath, and coincidentally has two children, Henry and Lily.
