Description

Drawn together by cases random gun violence, Perky, a madam, Cammy, a cute hard charging blonde, Eleanor "Nora" Rigby, a nurse and soccer mom, and Ari, an aging supermodel forge unlikely friendships. This story with an eye on the Second Amendment is a fast paced thriller centered around guns, random violence and heartbreak. Perky's son becomes heavily involved in a misguided right-wing paramilitary group that considers themselves true patriots searching for the freedom they believe the country has lost. They devise and execute a sensational violent event at a college football game that leaves the city in chaos. Next, one of the paramilitary members goes rogue and interrupts a high school pool party with hail of gunfire. Meanwhile, driving home from a day at her exclusive country club, Ari the supermodel witnesses a drive-by shooting that triggers (pun intended) several similar drive-by homicides known in the press and the city as "The Bunny Murders". Deputy Gloria Espinoza self assigns to the case during her off duty hours. Helped along by several children, she follows a trail of unknown black market merchandize transported in "baby caskets". Espinoza balances this challenge with tending to her very ill mother. While taking her frustration out at a pistol range, Cammy meets an intriguing man. She accepts his invitation to attend a convention in Memphis where she encounters Millie, the owner of "Shots Fired", a gun shop. The store, originally owned by her AWOL husband, has been in the family for decades under the name "Frontier". "Frontier" was a traditional hunting and sporting emporium. The husband turned it into a paramilitary store full of AK-47s, Bushmasters, "Soldier of Fortune" magazines and banana clips. Millie soon joins forces with the other women and they bond over their respective issues...and a lot of wine and prosciutto. Seeking some sort of resolution the ladies hatch a plan to capture the nation's attention. The dangerous plan is filled with uncertainties, moral ambiguity and is a test of courage. This thriller delves into radical thinking, romance, frustration, violence and the courage of conviction.
