This book represents many things, brutalities and mistreatments of Black Women, single mothers that have struggled to make due, mothers that have buried children before they could come of age, many parts of my life, many relationships and unions. I have no problem saying I apologize for my part in breaking up a relationship or my involvement in your hurt and pain, my moments of being selfish and inconsiderate.

She represents the physically, mentally, verbally and emotionally abused woman, tormented and haunted by her past trauma, those that can't seem to get out of their own way for fear of experiencing familiar pains. She also represents the woman that doesn't know or hasn't learned to appreciate the qualities of a good man or the importance of values and virtue.
Most of all she represents the lives of women that I've touched and affected in every way whether it be positive or negative, Women that I either wasn't mature enough to love and handle the right way or women who weren't mature enough to love and handle me the right way. This book is filled with poems and letters to past relationships, writings of my wants and desires, my thoughts and views on relationships.
