Overview

The origin of evil—what it is, why it exists and how we deal with it in our lives and world—is an issue that all of us contemplate from time to time. In "Shadowland: Evil, Compassion and the Power of Thought", author Imre Vallyon reveals the existential reality of evil as imperfection originating in the Cosmos at the beginning of time and continuing in our world and its present-day inhabitants. He also reminds us to be aware of the power of our thoughts for both good and evil, and to use that power only for good, only for that which brings in the Light, so that we may help the Light Principle – not the Shadowland – in us and in the world. Only by developing compassion and forgiveness and using our creative power of thought in positive ways can Humanity stop feeding the Shadowland of our planet.

Description

“Society is continually feeding Shadowland with negative thinking and therefore perpetuating it. If everybody stopped providing it with negative attention, it would explode into nothing because Shadowland is actually nothing. It is simply the mass of negative thoughts that we have about each other and about all kinds of things, and it would not exist without them.”

“Remember, Shadowland is not real; it’s a shadow. Light is real; it’s a permanent substance. All the negative stuff that goes on in the world is not real, until we feed it, until we make it real in our own consciousness.”

“Shadowland is the shadow of the Eternal Light inside all of us. Most of the time it is suppressed, ignored or forgotten, but every now and then it comes to our attention and, at times, demands all of our attention and resources."

“Shadowland must be faced and conquered by human beings who would want to free themselves from bondage and enter into the Life of the Soul.”

About the author

Imre Vallyon was born in Budapest, Hungary, and emigrated to New Zealand at the age of sixteen. Since 1980 he has dedicated his life to teaching the Wisdom Science through his extensive writings and through workshops and retreats conducted around the world. Vallyon’s extraordinary knowledge of human spirituality is derived not from scholarly research, but issues forth from his own Interior Realization. He spans the full spectrum of human experience: reaching through time, illuminating the great Spiritual Teachings and Sacred Languages of our planetary history while pointing the way to the future. Vallyon’s work is one of synthesis. His writing is universal, not biased towards any particular religion or tradition. Imre Vallyon was awarded first place in the prestigious Ashton Wylie Charitable Trust Awards, as well as a gold medal in the 2009 Living Now Awards, for the four-volume spiritual treatise "Heavens & Hells of the Mind".
