I am the former deputy bureau chief of The Times of India, a journalist with over thirty years experience covering the nation's top politicians as well as writing about the hopes and aspirations of ordinary people. My novel seeks to shine a light on caste prejudice, an important issue rooted in Indian culture, and one that also resonates across all cultures where people struggle with prejudices of race, status, and class.
