Description

This book provides encouragement to Christians who are dealing with infertility. Using scriptures, the author explores the fertility journey of several Biblical characters who struggled to conceive, as well as the fruitful lives of several women of the Bible who were not mothers. The book ends with some practical steps to achieving spiritual fruitfulness and living a life that is pleasing to God. Infertility is a problem that affects thousands of Christian couples. Many suffer in silence because they believe that few people really understand their plight. This involuntary childlessness can lead to feelings of inferiority, shame, and dpression. Often, well-meaning friends and loved ones can intensify these feelings by making thoughtless comments or even blaming the couple for the condition. Sarah's Daughters speaks directly to the hearts of these individuals. The book examines the lives of people like Abraham and Sarah, Hannah, Rachel, and others in the scriptures who struggled to conceive. It also examines the lives of fruitful men and women who did not have children, and provides practical guidance to everyone who wants to become fruitful, whether they have children or not. Each chapter includes practical Tools for the Journey as will as scriptural references the reader can study in addition to reading the book. The author brings a unique blend of psychological training, ministry experinece, and her own personal experience with infertilty to her writing, making the book accessible to those who are dealing with infertilty and those who want to understand the journey. The book is also recommended reading for clergy who seek to enhance their ability to minister to these couples in love.
