About The Author

I am Groot! Not that Groot but Michelle Groot. I became an author to turn my nephew into a goblin. Not just any goblin. My nephew Ryan has a rare stage 4 metastatic melanoma. He has survived a hemoglobin level of 2 on more than one occasion, jokingly calling himself the "Hemogoblin". Blood transfusions saved his life and continue to help keep Ryan alive. Through my love for writing and an amazing illustrator (Ms. Grace Armstrong) we together were able to transform my nephew Ryan into Ryen Ryen the Hemogoblin. My nephew will forever be able to help children hurt, sick, and scared.
