Rx: A Dose of Heart

About the Author Gil Burgstede, M.D, was born in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, and as a child immigrated with his parents to Southern Wisconsin. He is a graduate of the Medical College of Wisconsin and completed his residency through the University of Illinois. For the past 40 years he has practiced medicine, first as a family physician, then as an emergency room physician for nearly twenty years and lastly as an urgent care physician. In addition, he has had twenty five years of study in the realms of energy dynamics, energy healing, energy medicine, critical mass creation, the structure, function and order of realities and how they are maintained energetically, stages of human development, dream analysis, Jungian psychology, mythology, a personal understanding of the masculine journey from mind to heart to then experience wholeness, a secondary understanding of the feminine journey from body to heart to then experience wholeness, the ancient origins and stories of the world's religions and healing traditions and the modern energetic integration of "heart energy" into daily life. He has guided individuals and groups in accessing their centers for renewal and life transformation. "It all comes down to the simple act of centering and sharing the heart's power (energy of unity) so we can experience what cannot be taught in any other way: to embody the energetic experience of wholeness." Gil shares his passion for heart-full living with his life partner of forty years, Janis DeLuca, who guides women on their uniquely different path from body to heart to then experience their wholeness. They have two adult children, Adam and Annie.
