Description

"Rickey's Rude Awakening" is the story of young Rickey Kirkwood, a boy who dreams of being a pirate. He has two friends, Luis and Jason who has their own dreams of being a scientist and a spaceman respectively. The three boys finds out the existence of an ancient "Book of Dreams" that will grant the reader their fondest wish. Rickey and his friends locates the book, but, because they're in a rush, the three doesn't read the instructions, and thus their three separate dreams come true as one combined wish. And with that, the boys soon realize that one must be very careful in what they wish for, because they might not like what they get.

About The Author

Darryl Alexander Moore was born in Brooklyn, NY and grew up in The Bronx, NY. He holds a BFA degree (Fine Arts) from the School of Visual Arts. He has illustrated the children's books "I Want It NOW!" and "Jerry the Snow Ranger". He has Witten and illustrated the children's picture book "Delirious Tiberious" and the middle readers' novel "Tales of a Fifth Grade Know-It All" . Darryl currently lives in The Bronx with his wife, Lisa-Anne.
