REICH-EOUS BEHAVIOR

Trump's Takeover of America in Satire

By Ned O'Hearn

Overview

What's happening in our country is scary! If you're even a casual student of modern history you can't ignore how this president's tyrannical behavior is eerily reminiscent of transformations observed in Nazi Germany in the 1930s. Let's not fool ourselves, when someone with a fragile ego like Trump is obsessed by power, bad things happen. REICH-EOUS BEHAVIOR -- Trump's Takeover of America in Satire, features 37 satires in the form of stories, plays, screenplays, fables and songs. It reflects on how we arrived at this place in history, covers the tumultuous run-up to the 2024 election, examines the first provocative 200 days of Trump's second term, and concludes with a series of comedic satires featuring MAGA Trumpsters who in their words and actions are inclined to make sport of themselves.

Description

Look what's happening in our country! If you can do so honestly, ignoring the pro-Trump partisan prevaricative propaganda, you'll become squeamishly uncomfortable if you're even a casual student of modern history witnessing tyrannical behavior such as: Depriving deportees the constitutional right of Habeas Corpus; Waging war on the press through attacks, lawsuits and intimidation; Ordering the military into cities during peacetime; Overstepping the Constitution; Assailing mainstream science and institutions of higher education. This is America today and it's scary. What's happening in America is eerily reminiscent of transformations observed in Nazi Germany in the 1930s. Let's not fool ourselves, when someone with a fragile ego like Trump is obsessed by power, bad things happen. REICH-EOUS BEHAVIOR -- Trump's Takeover of America in Satire, is the sequel to my first book, CON-MANDER-IN-CHIEF -- The Trump Years in Satire. It features 37 satires in the form of stories, plays, screenplays, fables, and songs. Book One: How we arrived at this place in history; Book Two: The tumultuous run-up to the 2024 election; Book Three: The first provocative 200 days of Trump's second term; Book Four: Trumpsters featured in a series of comedic satires.
