Overview

The pirates wreck their ship on an island with strange creatures, and they find their numbers dwindling. They manage to escape and the captain sells Varick into slavery. Varick is shocked when his father announces that he is remarrying. Varick never met the woman and is still grieving over the loss of his mother. He thought by now his father and him would bond, but that never happened. If that wasn't enough, the woman has a daughter, Tempest, from a previous marriage that is arrogant and materialistic. When Varick is kidnapped by some pirates, he finds out his stepsister paid them to get rid of him. Tempest wanted him out of the way so she could inherit the father's wealth. The pirates wreck their ship on a reef and come to an island full of strange creatures. Their numbers are dwindling. Eventually, they find a way off the island, but the pirate captain sells Varick into slavery. A sultan's wife sends Varick on a quest to steal treasure from a drakon, but will it be his undoing?
