Overview
Why didn't she stay in the safe place? Why would a young 16-year-old get pregnant? This is the journey of an uneducated teenage mom who retired as an Aerospace Executive. She went from wrong men to true love. From no high school diploma to a master's degree. From not being able to spell to writing her story.
Description
Why did I write this book? To convey a sense of ability. To let others know they're worth it, and to keep trying. It's my understanding of how it feels to be on the edge of despair and step back from that edge. It's also about how my child grew up in-spite of having a teenage mom. It's a book about my life, how I educated myself and worked up the corporate ladder while trying to learn about myself and my world around me. I succeeded, not always gracefully or noteworthy but its real and transparent.
About the author
Sonder Bree was born in the mid 50's and grew up in a couple of small New England towns. She came from a large family and had an isolated childhood. These small towns feature closely-knit circles providing a certain comfort and safe feeling for some, but for Sonder, it seemed limiting, at least while she was in high school. "At that time, you were either a Jock, cheerleader, or a greaser. It was also a place where everyone knew about you, and it wasn't always positive. " Throughout Sonder's life, she has lived in five states and traveled half of the world, thanks to business trips. My book is the story of my life from teen mom to fortunate older woman.
