About The Author

After a career teaching literature and composition, Doyle became the speechwriter and public relations liaison for the Kentucky Department of Education. A Fulbright Scholar to India, she was selected for Leadership Lexington for her community service and became a Kentucky Colonel for writing the first history of education of Kentucky. The author of ten books, she taught on Roatan Island and directed a bilingual school. Five of her books are about Roatan and the Bay Islands of Honduras, which has been her second home for four decades. After spending most of her life in Lexington, Kentucky, she retired in a North Carolina golfing community.
