Postcard Tales

This book is a group short stories compiled from a life of traveling around the world. The stories vary in subject matter from flying to animals, from kid-fun to imaginative creations that make you chuckle, maybe even laugh. If you have a few minutes, a story or two out of this book should get you off on the right foot . . . unless you're left footed.

The initial inspiration for this book of short stories started from stories I would write on the back of postcards. The postcard pictures would provide a launching point for an imaginative tale. A story seemed like a more fun way to send a greeting than just saying, "Having a good time, wish you were here!" There's not much room on the back of a postcard, so I would write as small as possible and use every square millimeter of space. On later travels, I would bring along a little notebook and use writer's license to create a little color to my adventures. However, sometimes my adventures were enough of an adventure to just tell the story as it happened. This book is a compilation of entertaining stories from real life to animal life to a "bit" of imagination. I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoyed writing them.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR Rory Hansen has spent a lifetime in aviation. He was a Navy carrier pilot, Learjet demonstration pilot, airline pilot, and general aviation experimental aircraft pilot. He built and flies two kit experimental airplanes. Writing and photography have been a lifetime passion. Before becoming a professional pilot, he was a full time kid and still hasn't grown out of that.
