About the author
Corine Pearce is a Pomo basket weaver, herbalist, traditional dancer, environmental and cultural advocate, and artist. An enrolled member of the Redwood Valley Little River Band of Pomo Indians, she traces her ancestry to the First Peoples of Mendocino and Lake counties. A master weaver of cradle baskets, work baskets, twine baskets, and finely beaded and feathered baskets, she works with emerging weavers to revitalize ancestral traditions and gathering sites throughout Northern California.
