Book details
Overview
I avoided writing poetry most of my life. Then, I awoke on Memorial Day, 2017 and wrote the first poem I never trashed. With this poem I suddenly found my voice and style. Over the course of the next three years I wrote 861 poems. All but a handful are intentionally single page. Ironically, against my edict to keep my poems one page or less, while in pandemic isolation in Vermont I wrote an epic lyric poem entitled: A Simple Life: A Farmer's Ode to the Year of Fear.
I have made that the title poem for Volume II.
Volume III is Poetry Inspired by the Outdoors.
I never expected to be a Poet. Now, I cannot imagine being anything else.
Description
The poetry in this volume is a compilation of the first 8 volumes I wrote. I have underlined the title. poem in each volume. As with most poems, I rarely altered the placement of the poems. I woke, wrote something and went onto the next day. Everything just happened. As I got to the 91st. poem I stopped the volume, gave myself time off, then returned to the next volume.
