Overview
Avoiding poetry most of my life, I awoke on Memorial Day, 2017 and wrote the first poem I never trashed. With this poem I suddenly found my voice and style. Over the course of the next three years I wrote 861 poems. All but a handful are intentionally single page.
Against my edict to keep my poems this way, while in the pandemic isolation in Vermont I wrote an epic lyric poem entitled A Simple Life: A Farmer's Ode to the Year of Fear. That will be the front poem for Volume II.
