Please Teach Me Phonics, Mrs. B. was created by Earnestine Jackson Burris to arm today's elementary-age youth with yesterday's reading fundamentals. Though technology has advanced society, far too many modern-day elementary school students lack basic reading skills. Many variables contribute to this current widespread issue, but perhaps the greatest factor remains the absence of phonics being taught at the primary level. The goal of Please Teach Me Phonics, Mrs. B. is to ensure every child is both equipped and empowered with the ability to read.

The real Mrs B, otherwise known as, Earnestine Jackson Burris, is an educator through and through. With well over 30 years of teaching within Louisiana's East Baton Rouge Parish school system, Mrs B has a lifetime's worth of classroom knowledge, coupled with an endless love for her students. Mrs B's ultimate goal with the Please teach Me Phonics series is to introduce new school students to some tried and true old school skills. Together she believes student and teacher can change the world– one phonics lesson at a time.
