Overview

A collection of newly written poems/haiku and as always trying to understand my place in this world. Hoping that expressing my thoughts in words and images, they will inspire others to do the same - to look inside themselves for a deeper questioning of who they are and to try and understand the world that surrounds us and what it means.

Description

I am asked here to provide a longer description of my book but the truth is this book is basically 108 poems and haiku about things that I have seen or felt - or even sometimes heard here at my home on Pine Road. My mind does tend to wander as I am a bit of daydreamer - so as I listen to music, hear a bit of conversation or hear birds singing outside my door or feel the the wind and rain while walking, I try to be present in those moments and understand what I am feeling at the time - then I try to put myself outside of myself and express all of those things as best I can with the words I have at hand. Express them in simple and plain way so I can understand what I am experiencing and to make sense of those experiences and feelings. Also I wish to share these experiences with others, so maybe that they recognize some of these same feelings and experiences and know they are not alone. I think we create so we can share part of ourselves with others. That is the long and short of it.
