Lem Padre Mehuso is a man who has to navigate through life while being a fugitive. He is also mentally ill and has to deal with that. The book tells how he came to be in such a predicament. He meets a woman and gets married and they have a daughter. While working Lem gets in trouble with the law and gets probation. He got spooked and stopped going to see his Probation officer. Needless to say he got a warrant. Life for him after that changed. He became homeless and moved around. He has a happy ending.
