About the author
Bronagh Hanley is a San Francisco–based freelance publicist and entertainment junkie. She has been working for over twenty years as an entertainment publicist and wishes someone had written this book when she graduated from college. In her career as a publicist, Hanley has driven around the country in an RV with Roy Rogers singing songs, walked the red carpet with impresario John Waters, shielded Matthew McConaughey from gaggles of women at a Hollywood premiere, hosted a screening at The Shining hotel, seen Garth Brooks in his skivvies and witnessed the opening of the Medici family crypt in Florence with Morley Safer. Her personal life has been just as entertaining, with her family arriving in the U.S. from Northern Ireland in the late ’70s; growing up on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC; performing at the Kennedy Center as part of the Children’s Youth Orchestra; attending the White House Christmas party five years running; inventing the Microwave Buddy (which no one ever bought); testifying before Congress on financial aid; and surviving a flash flood in the Dominican Republic. Hanley is very happily married to a great guy and has an awesome and sassy little girl. OMG! My First Real Job (second edition) is her first published book.
