Navigating the Margins is a grant funded writing program with the goal of creating a short story collection of the same name, featuring high school student writers within the Howard County Public School System. Each student author was selected to participate in the program due to their strong desire to write, improve, and share their stories. This short story collection features the stories students wanted to tell, and to read. From self-help and thriller fiction to paranormal and science fiction, this volume contains stories told by teens with one common thread... a shared commitment and desire to become professional writers. This is the result of our third year of the program.

About The Author


Priscilla Kim is currently a senior at Centennial High School and will be a freshman at Loyola University Maryland. She loves writing because it lets her creativity run wild to create fictional worlds with fascinating characters. Her favorite activity this year is being the intern of Navigating the Margins because seeing the development of the cohort's writing skills and the progression of their stories is incredibly fulfilling and exciting.
