As a child, it was not uncommon to find K.H. in the corner of her room lost between the pages of a good book or writing short stories in her little green diary. It was a  connection to a character in her favorite book, 'Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry' by Mildred D. Taylor, that inspired her to write short stories and poetry as a young girl.

K.H. Core is now living her dream of inspiring the youth through creative writing. It is her hope that children will gain confidence, a positive outlook on life and realize their God-given ability to make an impact on this ever-changing but great and magnificent world. This is her first children's book.

K.H. enjoys reading, gardening, jazz and spending time with her husband.
