Born and birthed by Barbara Jean Davenport in Norristown, Pennsylvania on October 5, 1968, a month early, the author later attended Morris E. Leads Middle School. After dropping out towards the end of his eighth grade year, he accepted the gift of grace and then exercised his faith in the redemptive work of Christ on the Cross at Calvary's Mountain, thereby immediately receiving his BAS (Born Again Status). Accordingly, he received his name permanently written in the Lamb's book of life. In 1989, his desire to know God in a very real way became the cornerstone of his informal education. As a result, he earned his ministerial license from the Mount Sinai Church of America in 1992. And in May of 1994, Evangelist Davenport stood on the pulpit of 62 My Name is Mr. Brendt, Not Mr. Brown Skin | 63 Refuge Pentecostal Church in Berwyn, PA to deliver his trial sermon. His topic was "Don't lose your focus." He extracted his lesson from the synoptic gospel according to Saint Matthews, Chapter 14, Verse 29, where Peter infamously walked on the water until he took his eyes off Jesus. In addition to his faith journey, he also experienced a successful career. Hired by three different school dis- tricts, he eventually became the lead custodian at one and the head custodian at the others. He proudly received over 35 reference letters and multiple cer- tificates of appreciation from teachers, supervisors, administrators, and two superintendents. After his 2018 retirement after 30 years, he continued to learn and grow. He now operates A Company Of Elite Cleaners, his full-time commercial cleaning busi- ness. Brendt now resides in Collegeville, Pennsylvania with his dear wife Marie of 33 years. What he delights in more than anything is the joy that only Jesus gives as well as visits from his beloved children, Larenzo, Brittany, and Desmond. He takes immense pride in his three adorable grand babies, Liam 3 1/2 years old, Layla 18 months old, Ava 16 months old. He also has made a habit of investing in cryptocurrency!
