About The Author

From the cobblestones of Bamberg, Germany, to the vibrant streets of Houston, Texas, Kevin Jones has always been a student of the world. Growing up in Bossier City, Louisiana, Kevin developed a passion for excellence that eventually led him to earn an MBA in Project Management. However, while he spends his days as a Project Coordinator, his heart is rooted in the "rhythm of our ancestors" and the pursuit of Black excellence. A first-time author and a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Kevin writes with the intent to spark the "inner phoenix" in every reader. In his downtime, he is a car enthusiast, a traveler, and a devoted partner to his fiancée, Tyler. Motivating the Black Mind is his first major contribution to the global conversation on resilience and unapologetic dreaming.
