About the author

Early in life, Liv Reimers discovered she could disappear into an endless number of worlds. She could travel to magical lands, live multiple lives, and have unending adventures—all in the pages of books. That happy discovery engendered a lifetime love of reading, books, and writing. As an adult, the adventure of travel to foreign lands became a reality, in body as well as spirit.

After a long career in an allied medical field working with infants, and children, she now spends her time and energy writing, walking, caring for her family, and experimenting in collage, photo montage, and various other multi-media arts.

Liv currently lives in Eugene, Oregon with her partner and their Labrador Retriever, Maximilian. Her speculative fiction novel, Morfphology, was published in 2022. She is currently completing The Girl Who Felt Too Much, a family drama written in the genre of magical realism.

After working much of her career creating "Designer Babies" for the well-to-do, Alix has now developed a gene-editing sequence with the capability of creating very enhanced human beings known as Morfphs. Morfphs are engineered to read emotions, thoughts, and desires of a human they have bonded with, but their gifts don't end there. They also have the extraordinary ability and the overpowering need to fluidly, both physically and emotionally, shapeshift into the very embodiment of that desire. Can Morfphs ease the profound loneliness and alienation that have not only blighted Alix's individual life, but have become  pandemic in society? Alix is betting everything on it.

Morfph me Bookbaby Sweeping in scope, unerring in navigation, Liv Reimers explores multiple worlds of human natures , AQIq is asq we a science and personal experience in Morfphs, her debut novel. She injects new life into the free will-predestination debate as her characters take us on a fascinating journey through the need for love and self-definition, the fine line between obsession/self-destruction and the thrumming, numbing resonance of misogyny in history, institutions, cultures and relationships.
