This book shares a history of my family (3 generations before me), followed by my own upbringing in a small village (Mukrera) in India, my educational journey and my arrival to Canada. It then shares some of my experiences as a new immigrant in the United States to the growth of my children and extended family and community in America.

About The Author

Shiwendra Singh (SP) was a civil engineer for PENNDOT (PA Dept. of Transportation) for 35 years. Born in a small village in Bihar, India, SP was raised in a large extended family with very modest means. He committed himself to getting educated and eventually earned his way to Canada for higher education. SP was the first in his family to leave India and eventually immigrated to the United States in 1969, landing in Clearfield, PA where he and his wife Sita raised their four children and also some neices and nephews. His emphasis on education and supporting family paved the way for him and his wife's extended family, now with more than 60 members across America.
