Description

Meg's Daily Routine is a warm and reassuring children's picture book that invites young readers to spend a full day with Meg, a Fox Red Labrador who loves her family and her predictable rhythm. Told in Meg's gentle voice, the story follows her from morning wake-up time through meals, walks, play, quiet moments, family time, and bedtime, showing how each part of the day has its own purpose and comfort. Designed especially for young children, the book highlights the importance of daily routines in helping children feel safe, confident, and calm. Through simple language and familiar experiences, Meg models a healthy balance between energetic play and restful quiet time, reinforcing that slowing down is not a punishment but an important way to care for our bodies and minds. The repeated structure and everyday moments make the story ideal for toddlers, preschoolers, and early elementary readers. Meg's role as a family pet also gently introduces lessons about responsibility, empathy, and care for others. Feeding, walking, training, and comforting Meg show that pets require patience and consistency, while also offering companionship, loyalty, and unconditional love. These themes encourage meaningful conversations between children and adults about kindness, commitment, and family life. In addition to its story, Meg's Daily Routine supports early literacy and language development. Clear sentence structure, relatable vocabulary, and a glossary with child-friendly definitions and Spanish translations make the book a valuable tool for families and classrooms alike. Educators can use Meg's routine to reinforce classroom expectations, transitions, and social-emotional learning. Part of the Meg the Red Labrador series, this book continues Meg's story with the same soft watercolor style and warm tone introduced in Meet Meg the Red Labrador. Meg's Daily Routine is perfect for shared reading at home, story time in early learning settings, or quiet moments before bed, offering children comfort, connection, and the reassurance that tomorrow brings another happy day.

About The Author

I am a retired computer scientist and entrepreneur. I have written four religious books but the Meg the Red Labrador series is my first venture into the world of children's books. Meg is my family's Fox Red Labrador who we adopted in the spring of 2024 and the books tell our stories of living together. I hope they will be a good source for children to maybe learn vocabulary and sentence structure. At the end of each book will be a list of vocabulary words and their definitions along with the Spanish word for the books in English and the English word for the books that are in Spanish. In that way I hope to foster the learning of a second language. Thank you for buying my book. 10% of all proceeds from my books are donated to charities.
