About The Author

Angela Noakes is quite the quirky Midwesterner, you know, one of those 'deplorables'. She lives with her husband, Dale and Louie, a 6-pound Chihuahua who allows her to write when he’s sleeping. Motivated by the idea that “common sense is no longer common", Noakes decided she was unable to idly sit by without sharing some of that archaic “common sense” said to be possessed back in the day, and that's how Megalomanic State was born. While primarily a political novel, she would never expect her readers to pick up a book without a little mystery, a little romance, and a little murder. Then, just for spice, a dash of common sense.

Megalomanic State

By Angela Noakes

Overview

Are you sensing something is wrong? Do you feel the unease beneath the surface?

  • the erosion of truth?
  • the centralization of power?
  • the nagging sense that your freedom is being traded away in small increments too small to notice?

Megalomanic State, first written in 2016, for the millennial in search of some cold, hard lessons earned from our history, that have suspiciously become suppressed, on the verge of eradication. But today, we know that it wasn't merely a quirky work of fiction; it's a PROPHETIC WARNING dressed in story. What was written and warned about then is being lived now.

Description

Jack Romaros has a desire to alter the course of our republic that’s driven by his thirst for power, and the only way to achieve his goal is to arrange for the assassination of the sitting U.S. President. But Romaros is about to learn the hard way, that good and evil aren’t always as cut and dry as they appear, and that power may not mean invincibility. Very loosely based on fact, Megalomanic State was written in 2016 as a light-hearted novel with sprinkles of warnings regarding where our nation was heading if we didn't learn and utilize those history lessons. But now, what was PROPHETICALLY warned about has, become our reality. Follow Jack Romaros & James Whittaker as they navigate a nation sleepwalking to the very return of history's most dangerous era - the eerie echo of a regime our nation swore it would never repeat. This is not imagination. Megalomanic State is an accounting of what was coming - written before it arrived. What was written and warned about then, is being lived now. Every generation is warned - few listen.
