Description
America has changed in the decades I had grown accustomed to her. Back in the 60's you would find etiquette questions to Ann Landers "How do I refuse a cigarette if my friend offers me one?" Now you may not even smoke, unless you are outside, and 100 ft away from the entrance. Every 25 years we have a new generation. When feminism was a movement, now it's a status quo.
It's known a "Common Enemy" unites us together. Pearl Harbor, 9/11, Covid, Ukrain, Trump II, .... you name it. In the peace time and with a growing economy, it becomes a luxury to find and voice areas of dissent. This is not a bad thing as we can afford to look down from an ivory tower, (while the rest of the third-world countries are still battling hunger, disease, and war.) So I say, we disagree because we have found contentment in the basic necessity of life, in the hierarchy of human needs. Is it a bad thing?
I have full of it in this book. Your dissent means you are participating with my thinking, using the gifts of what we are endowed with. The worse scenario is, I am ignored, or you don't read what I need to say. If I should excite you, or even anger you, it is a compliment. We are all in this world (country) together.
