About the author

E. Dale Berkey, Ph.D., is founder and president of BBS & Associates, a development and marketing agency serving 30+ Christian ministries and educational institutions. Dale has also co-authored several books about ministry development and is a speaker at development seminars across the country. His book Seven Deadly Diseases of Ministry Marketing is considered a Christian fundraising classic. Dale is an ordained minister with a Master’s in Theology from Wheaton College and a doctorate in Higher Education from the University of Toledo.

Mike Meyers is a partner at NonProfit DNA, an innovative fundraising consulting firm that explores new ways to grow nonprofit organizations. Mike has served as Chief Development Officer for two large nonprofits and most recently as CEO for Food for the Hungry, where he led global strategic planning and helped to more than double private income. Mike received a Bachelor’s in Life Science from Kansas State University, and a Master of Arts in Theology as well as a Master of Arts in Intercultural Studies from Nazarene Theological Seminary.
