About the author
Dorothy Blankenship was born and raised in the mountains in a small town called Ligonier, Pennsylvania. She and her sister were raised by her parents in a small cottage on the mountainside. As a young adult, she attended Hiram college and obtained a teaching degree in English. She later married her late husband and has a son and a daughter. She and her family settled in Northern California where she raised her children on a small farm and pursued her teaching career at a private Christian School. She taught English and was the Director of the drama club. She led her students into many successful drama competitions with her writings. After retiring as a teacher, Dorothy later settled in Southern California and worked for a small publishing company. During that time she spent seven summers as a missionary in Russia and the Ukraine. She has since retired and enjoyed traveling and settling in different locations such as Tennessee, Pennsylvania and New Jersey. She currently lives in a small town in the Adirondack mountains of upstate New York.
