Overview
Why is it that Jesus' first and most direct teaching gets so little attention? Why is it that the focus for many churches tends to be on other things, such as: history, politics, traditions, rituals, the state of the world, finances, converting people, the end of times, etc. without placing emphasis on the teaching of Christ before them? It would appear that the a priori condition for success in all the avenues that the church dwells in would be abidance in the Lord. That's what the teaching of Christ does. It aligns us with the patterns of Divinity, expressed through us as unconditional love.
Description
If we want to feel complete, there is a path for us. It's been in front of us all along, but we didn't know to look there. Perhaps because it was too obvious. Somehow it has eluded the vast majority of us. Has anyone told you, "Hey, look here. This is what this path means and does. This is what you're looking for"? The problem is that it's been overlooked and its meaning washed away. It seems there have not been many takers in the relatively recent history. It seems the primary focus for most of Christendom has been on converting people to Jesus with grand promises (which are true), without really guiding them in the purpose of their life as a follower of Christ. The path I am speaking of is ancient. It's the path that Christ taught. It began with Abraham and obeying God. It was refined through Moses in the Torah. Finally, it was perfected through John the Baptist and the man who became known as Jesus, the Christ. This path is called Loving Without Conditions. It is a path that is realizable in this lifetime for each of us.
About the author
Born and raised in Southern Minnesota, Ben graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College and afterwards spent a summer as a wilderness guide on Lake Superior. Contemplating the Bible with others in nature seemed to initiate a desire to know Christ more deeply, even becoming single-minded in seeking Him. He has lived in India, Spain, and Arizona, but currently resides in the capitol of Minnesota, St. Paul. There, he has led groups on exploring the path of loving without conditions. His last few decades have been devoted to love and surrender through Christ. He does unconditional love coaching, mentoring, and has been a speaker at various churches and organizations.
