Description

Love, Stirred In: A Collection of Meals, Memories, and What We Carry Some recipes feed a family. Others tell a story. In Love, Stirred In, Evangeline Pesca invites readers into the meals, memories, and traditions that shaped her life. Born and raised in the Philippines and later building a life and family of her own, she learned early that food was never simply about nourishment. It was how love was expressed, how comfort was offered, how celebrations were shared, and how family stayed connected through life's changing seasons. Within these pages, recipes are paired with personal stories, reflections, and the lessons gathered around kitchen tables over generations. From weeknight dinners and family favorites to dishes tied to childhood memories and treasured family traditions, each recipe carries something more than ingredients. It carries the people, moments, and experiences that gave it meaning. This collection honors the mothers, grandmothers, daughters, and friends whose love often appeared in the form of a meal prepared, a table set, or a seat held open for someone who needed it. It celebrates the ordinary moments that become the memories we cherish most and reminds us that some of life's most important lessons are learned not through grand events, but through everyday acts of care. Filled with comforting recipes, heartfelt stories, and reflections on family, belonging, resilience, and gratitude, Love, Stirred In is both a cookbook and a keepsake. It is an invitation to slow down, gather with the people you love, and recognize the beauty hidden within everyday meals. Whether you come for the recipes, the stories, or the memories they inspire, this book offers a reminder that food has a unique power to connect us—to our families, to our histories, and to one another. Because long after a meal is finished, what remains is often the love that was stirred into it.

About The Author

Evangeline Pesca is a mother, entrepreneur, storyteller, and lifelong believer in the power of gathering around a table. Born and raised in the Philippines, she learned early that food was never just food. It was comfort during difficult seasons, celebration during joyful ones, and a language of love spoken across generations. Some of her earliest memories are of watching the women in her family cook—not from recipes, but from instinct, experience, and care. Through them, she learned that a meal could nourish more than hunger; it could strengthen family, preserve memories, and remind people that they belonged. Today, Evangeline is the owner and CEO of a family of manufacturing and retail companies employing people from diverse backgrounds and experiences. Her leadership philosophy is rooted in the same values that shaped her childhood: generosity, community, resilience, and creating opportunities for others. Whether in business or at home, she believes that people flourish when they feel seen, supported, and welcomed. Love, Stirred In was born from a desire to preserve the recipes, stories, and life lessons that have been passed through her family for generations. What began as a gift for her daughters became a collection of meals, memories, and reflections about love, family, belonging, and the traditions that connect us across time. The recipes in these pages are not meant to impress. They are meant to be lived with. They are the meals that appeared on ordinary weeknights, around crowded tables, during celebrations, and in moments when comfort was needed most. Each recipe carries a story, and each story carries a reminder that the most meaningful things we pass on are often the simplest. When she is not writing, leading her companies, or gathering people around a table, Evangeline can be found traveling with her family, sharing meals with friends, and continuing to collect stories worth passing down. She lives in Texas with her husband, Davide, and remains endlessly grateful for the women who taught her that love is not only something we feel—it is something we practice, one meal, one conversation, and one act of care at a time.
