About The Author


BILL PEPLER is a volunteer steward with the McDowell Sonoran Conservancy. His roles include trailhead ambassador, hike and bike patrol, patrol trainer, and assistant on the mountain bike training team. His latest assignment is as steward author. Professionally, he has retired four times. His first retirement was as fire chief, followed by a retirement from a large investment firm in Boston. He has also served on the faculty of two colleges and at the National Fire Academy in Emmitsburg, MD. Currently, he speaks nationwide on subjects pertaining to disaster preparedness. He holds a master's degree in public administration from Golden Gate University in San Francisco. He is a veteran of the U.S. Army. His last novel was "Growing Up Glendale."
