Overview
Chris Walter doing what he does best — a rowdy, frantic tale of madness and booze Old man Hendrickson is relatively happy until two crazy whores teeter into his life and complicate everything all to hell. Faster than a beer can roll off a porch, he has pantyhose draped over his shower curtain and tampons in his medicine cabinet. Hendrickson somehow adapts to this oddly comfortable scenario only to have is shattered by a vicious pimp with an evil agenda. The tsunami of bullshit that follows is unfortunate but predictable, making the old man deeply regret his involvement. Even worse, he suspects that he might actually like one of those whores.
Description
There was magic in whisky. Even a single shot could brighten an otherwise unforgiving and dreary day. When Hendrickson got right down to it, booze was the only thing that never let him down, even when his ankles puffed up and his eyes turned yellow. With liquor, you always knew what to expect, even as it slowly killed you. Women were another thing entirely.
About the author
Born August 16, 1959 in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. Genre Literature, fiction, and punk music biographies. Influences Charles Bukowski, John Steinbeck, Irvine Welsh, Thomas Wolfe, Hubert Selby, Donald Goines, and many more. About this author Chris Walter, a recovering drug addict and hope-to-die punk rocker, began writing purposefully in 1998 after realizing that his life up to that point had been meaningless. His first published novel, Punk Rules OK went largely unnoticed except by detractors, inspiring him to take a DIY approach to the game. With help from his girlfriend who worked at a printing shop, he started GFY Press and began to write, publish, and distribute a steady stream of fiction novels and music biographies. After kicking drugs to the curb in 2001, GFY Press expanded to include unschooled troublemakers Simon Snotface, Stewart Black, and an Australian, Drew Gates, drawing further criticism from the established literary industry. More than sixteen years later, Chris Walter and GFY Press remain unrepentant and committed. Chris is the author of more than twenty-six books, many of which are available electronically. He has also contributed to numerous publications including The Georgia Straight, Nerve, Razorcake, The Big Takeover, Mass Movement, Vice, Loud Fast Rules, and Absolute Underground.
