This is the therapist version of the literacy-Adapted Pain Education Workbook, used in the Learning About My Pain (LAMP) trial. The LAMP trial was part of a Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute Comparative Research Award, and the workbooks were used in the trial.

Beverly E. Thorn, PhD, ABPP, is Professor Emerita of Psychology at the University of Alabama. She is the recipient of the 2018 Wilbert E. Fordyce Clinical Investigator Award from the American Pain Society. Her research has focused on investigating the important components of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and Pain Education (EDU) for chronic pain, using the biopsychosocial model. Since retiring in 2016, she has remained actively involved in dissemination and implementation of CBT and EDU for chronic pain with low-income, multiply disadvantaged populations.
