Know Your Enemy

By Perry Case

Overview

Most believers know Satan exists—but few truly understand how he works. Know Your Enemy takes a clear, biblical look at the origin, strategies, and limitations of the devil, revealing how deception has been his primary weapon from the very beginning. By exploring key moments in Scripture and connecting them to real-life struggles today, this book helps uncover the subtle ways the enemy still operates. More than exposing darkness, this book points to truth, authority, and victory in Christ. If you want to grow in discernment, recognize spiritual warfare, and stand firm in your faith, it begins with knowing your enemy.

Description

What if the greatest threat to your spiritual life is the one you understand the least? Many believers know that Satan is real, but few truly understand who he is, how he operates, or what he is capable of. This lack of understanding leaves countless Christians vulnerable to deception, distraction, and defeat. Know Your Enemy is a biblically grounded, eye-opening journey into the nature, tactics, and limitations of the devil—revealing the truth behind the lies that have persisted since the beginning. From the fall in the garden to the days of Noah, from spiritual warfare to modern-day deception, this book uncovers the strategies of the enemy and exposes the masks he still wears today. It examines key moments in Scripture where Satan worked behind the scenes, often unnoticed, influencing people, events, and outcomes in ways that still mirror our world. But this is not a book about fear—it is a book about victory. Through clear biblical teaching, real-world application, and powerful insights, readers will discover that while the enemy is active, he is not equal to God, not all-powerful, and not without limits. His greatest weapon is deception, but his greatest weakness is truth. This book will help you: Recognize the tactics of the enemy in your daily life Understand the difference between truth and deception Identify spiritual warfare as it unfolds around you Walk in confidence, authority, and discernment as a follower of Christ You were never meant to live unaware, unprepared, or defeated. When you understand your enemy, you can stand firm in the victory that has already been won.

About The Author

Perry Case was raised in the rural community of Allendale, Illinois, where he attended grade school before graduating from Mount Carmel High School. He entered the workforce immediately after graduation, spending two years as a plumber's apprentice before working for thirteen years in oil filter manufacturing. Those early years shaped his strong work ethic and grounded perspective on life and ministry. In 1995, Perry met the love of his life, Kristi. The two were married on July 6, 1996, beginning a lifelong partnership rooted in faith, family, and ministry. While working in the factory, Perry and Kristi began seeking a deeper relationship with God. Though Perry had been saved and baptized at the age of eleven, it was during this season that his faith became fully alive. In the fall of 1997, Kristi gave her life to Christ and was baptized by Perry's father and mentor, Steve Case. At the same time, Perry rededicated his life to the Lord and surrendered to a calling to ministry he had long resisted. Together, Perry and Kristi raised four children—Isaiah (now married to Anna), Maxwell, Sophia, and Lillian—in a home centered on faith, music, and service. Music has played a significant role in Perry's life and ministry, and each of his children developed a passion for it at a young age. As a family, they were actively involved in music ministry, often traveling and serving together. Today, Perry is also a proud grandfather to Judah "Perry" Case and Amelia Michelle Case. Perry has served in ministry for over twenty-five years, including ten years in bi-vocational ministry while working in the secular workforce, and fifteen years in full-time pastoral ministry. Over the course of his ministry, he has faithfully served in a variety of roles, including pastor, preacher, youth and children's pastor, and worship pastor. Known for his passion for teaching and his heart for people, Perry is dedicated to building up the body of Christ through biblical truth, encouragement, and practical spiritual guidance. His ministry is marked by a deep love for God and a genuine desire to see lives transformed by the gospel of Jesus Christ. Whether reaching those who feel forgotten, strengthening believers in their faith, or challenging others to grow deeper in their walk with Christ, Perry's mission remains clear: to help people know Jesus and follow Him more closely.
