The "Universal Catalog of Scales" is Ultimate. It is based on the 12 notes of the Occidental (Western) Musical Tempered System. No other scale can be found. I started the idea of the "Universal Catalog of Musical Scales" in 1982 , while in Grenoble, France. It is the result of a reflection regarding the emergence of our Scales and Modes during the Musical History. This "Universal Catalog of Musical Scales" is about the internal Structure of a Scale not its Transposition. All Musical Scales start with C (aka Do or Ut). The "Universal Catalog of Musical Scales" cannot be viewed under a restrictive concept of the Mathematical field of the Combinations, but seen as a vision that has been the result of a natural and deep desire to discover new materials , new approaches, new emotional fields of enlightenment and to fulfill a powerful need of freedom in Music . The vast subject of "Micro-tones and Micro-intervals" is not part of this topic, nor the concept of Musical Scales crossing Octaves nor the analyze of scales from a mathematic and acoustic point of view. How to read the Catalog: Each note has its Number: 1=C 2 = C#, Db 3=D 4 = D#, Eb 5=E 6=F 7 = F#, Gb 8=G 9 = G#, Ab 10 = A 11 = A#, Bb 12 = B
