Overview
What to do if you think your child might be kidnapped, what to do to prevent a kidnapping, and a resource guide for parents to help recover their child from a kidnapping.
Description
This eBook provides some ideas of what to do, where to go, and what kinds of things can be done to try to prevent a kidnapping or to help get the child safely returned. While much of the material in the guide-book focuses on international abductions, most of the information is also applicable to cases in which the child remains in the United States. The first part of this eBook has some advice and tips about “domestic” kidnapping of children. That means the children have not been removed from the USA. The second part of this eBook gives you a long, hard, and realistic look into the civil aspects of international child abduction. Each year thousands of children are either kidnapped or – on the pretext of visiting relatives – taken to another country with the intention to not permit a return by the child to the child’s habitual residence.
