Kamala SANE Trump HELL

I'm just a plane old man that draws funny pictures of strange people, like Donald Trump. Truth is not truth ya know in the post-truth era. The outer limits have been Trumped. I don't believe I can draw a cartoon of Trump winning the '24 election or a coup d'etat if he "loses." So believe me when I say, "What tha Hell?" My 136 page book is "Kamala SANE – Trump HELL" written and illustrated by M. Scott Byers. That's what the hell. It's 240 of ten years of my published political cartoons with lots of words. There's a bunch of new 'toons just for the book too. Or just look at the pictures and read the cutlines. That'll do. It's the last thing I'll draw because dead men can't draw. I never could write.

Over the last ten years, I drew cartoons published in newspapers. I picked 240 of them and wrote a few words around them and call it "Kamala SANE - Trump HELL". So, it's a bit of political history in 'toons. I don't know if I'd call it funny. Maybe scary wry humor? I also mix in some Texas Trumpery since Texas is the deepest red state – Trump, Abbott, Patrick, Paxton, anything Trump that moves, and the cult. My book goes right up to July 24, 2024. I had to wait to see who the dern Democratic nominee would be! Kamala is so cool. She's the savior! If there's a theme, it would be that the old Republican Party "caught" a huge shark named Trumpery and the catch ate the catcher. The shark spit out Liz Chaney, Adam Kinzinger and Mitt Romney. The rest remained in their creepy little world inside the Shark. If voters can dispose of Trump, the GOP will kick the Trumpery out and return to it's old character - conservative but honorable and principled. And get back to governing again.

M. Scott Byers, born on April 16, 1945, was raised on a small farm near Dallas, Texas. His early life was filled with farming, fishing, and hunting, but his passion for art emerged before he even started school. Encouraged by his parents and teachers, Byers pursued his love of drawing, eventually leading him to study at the University of Texas at Austin. Initially focused on academics, he switched to Fine Art and Graphic Design, which became his lifelong career. Byers spent a decade working as an Art Director at Dallas and Austin ad agencies before establishing his own studio overlooking Barton Creek in Austin. He collaborated with major clients like IBM, AMD, Dell, and American Airlines. Later in his career, he became known for his political cartoons in the "Austin American Statesman's Two Views." Byers authored a book compiling his cartoons, especially those surrounding the Trump era. He cherishes his family, including his late wives, three children, and four grandchildren. Now retired, Byers enjoys gardening, motorcycling and spending time with his son's dog, Ava.
