About the author


"Just Wait" is Diane Roure Pleasant's first book. Born in Staten Island, NY, Diane moved about the country as a military child. When Diane was ten she resided in her mother's hometown of Greenwood, MS. As a Voice major, Diane attended Bellhaven University in Jackson, MS. There she met and married Bill Pleasant. The two raised four children as she taught music and art in the Jackson and Clinton, MS areas for many years. During that time she became "MS P" to all of her students. She now has ten grandchildren and remains "MS P" to present and past students who have grown to adulthood. Throughout her life she has written stories and music. Diane joined a writing club where she serves as Vice President and was encouraged to begin publishing her work. She also is on the board of the Arts Council of Clinton and was President from 2014-2016 and sings in the Mississippi Chorus. Diane's hobbies are pottery, painting, gardening, writing stories, singing, writing music and crafting.
