About The Author

JoAnn Breitling is a 64 year old mother of seven, grandmother of 13, who resides in Texas. She has been married to her husband Samuel for 45 years. She is telling their family story which is a labor of love. Their only son Matthew was born in 1983 with Down syndrome. While doctors in 1983 called him an accident of God, the Breitlings have considered their son a blessing! When he was diagnosed in 2013 with Achalasia, a very rare disease of the auto-immune system, JoAnn felt even more compelled that the rest of his story be told. Pure love and inspiration!
