As parents, we are tasked with the responsibility of building up our children to believe that greatness lies within them. As a parent to an African American male, in a world where he is automatically thought to be less than simply because of his skin color, my responsibility began when Jasir was in utero. I am intentional about pouring positivity into his bucket and teaching him to recognize all of the great things about himself that are intrinsic. I'm helping him to define himself before the world attempts to do it for him. The words I speak will become his mindset. I choose to speak life!

Jasir A. Clark is an exuberant toddler who enjoys swimming, gymnastics, singing and completing puzzles. He also enjoys reading every morning and every evening with his mommy. On a daily basis, Jasir and his mom recite the alphabet, coming up with different adjectives and affirmations for each letter.
