Inspired by Cheryl Sperry Golke's oldest grandson, Isaac the Elephant is the story of a young boy with autism. As autism becomes an increasingly common diagnosis among children in America, so too should the education of their peers with regard to building and maintaining lasting and meaningful friendships. With vivid illustrations, Isaac the Elephant encourages young readers to celebrate their autistic friends and to recognize their great strengths and valuable qualities.

Cheryl Sperry Golke is an RN, wife, mother of three grown daughters, and grandmother of six precious grandbabies, her Angels. She is a graduate of Ferris State University, and a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Big Rapids, Michigan, where she resides with her husband Larry and their silver lab, Reuben.
