Random poisonings are terrorizing the residents of picturesque Hillside, a community once tranquil, now toxic. It's autumn and in the air is the smell of wood-burning fires, pumpkin spice and decay. As police investigate, a noxious cloud of suspicion and fear hovers over Hillside, as deadly as any poison. It's Harvest Festival time and celebrations includes the annual fall supper. A reunion with friends, all trauma bonded from the events of the previous summer, takes place at the beautiful Mountain Shadows Lodge deep the Rockies. Victim services advocate, Nicola Henderson is helping those impacted by the poisonings while dealing with her own personal nightmare. Her unidentified stalker has resurfaced, triggering her into action. With the help of a new crime reporter, a dangerous trap is set to catch the stalker that leads to a series of events from which it will be impossible to recover.
