DR. EDDIE CONNOR is a best-selling author, college professor, empowerment speaker, radio/TV correspondent, and visionary of the "Access Identity Conference.". As the founder of "The Eagles Academy" Dr. Eddie facilitates masterclasses on how to increase your ideas, impact, influence, and income. Dr. Eddie is a survivor of stage four cancer and empowers people to overcome obstacles. He transparently shares his journey of overcoming cancer as a spokesman for the American Cancer Society. Dr. Eddie is the founder of the mentoring programs, "Boys 2 Books" and "Gifted for Greatness" which empower young males via literacy, leadership, and life skills enrichment. As an aide to former U.S. Congressman Hansen Clarke, Dr. Eddie assisted in developing a resolution (H.Res. 721 - 112th) expressing the sense of the House of Representatives that bolstering literacy among African-American and Hispanic men is an urgent national priority. The resolution became the impetus for President Barack Obama's, "My Brother's Keeper" initiative. Dr. Eddie is a recipient of "The President Barack Obama Volunteer Service Award" and "The President Barack Obama Lifetime Achievement Award" from The White House. He is recognized as one of the "Top 35 Millennial Influencers in America," listed in the "Top 100 Leaders in Who's Who in Black Detroit," named to "Michigan Chronicle's Top 40 under 40," and "Author of the Year" by Kingdom Image Awards.
