Overview

I did not write this from a beach house.

At twenty-three I lost my father, broke my leg, lost my job, and spent a year below the poverty line. I thought I was finished. I decided I was the problem. I took notes for ten years. Those notes became a 444-page book. This is the short one: ten chapters you can finish.

This is a personal growth success guide for a life reset after job loss or a hard year. It is not a Harvard study and it is not a 300-page theory. It is a scoring system plus drills.

The Wheel of Values has ten spokes: Family, Appearance, Friends, Attitude, Finances, Career, Fellowship, Health, Direction, Recreations. You give each a number. The lowest score is the spoke that is dragging. You work that spoke first.

Description

Inside this short self help book:

  • A walking meditation and a 15-minute calm-down you can do on the floor
  • How to slow a loud inner voice without pretending thoughts will stop
  • A gratitude practice and a way to break a worry into one next step
  • Faith and chapter laws written to be read aloud
  • A purpose card and a worst-habit swap
  • Short chapters on health, work, money, and relationships — enough to start, not a business course

Kirkus called it a thoroughly digestible guide to positive living and called the Wheel of Values a nifty survival guide all on its own.

Want the full 444-page binder of lessons and exercises? That is Successful Life Mastery: The Art of Becoming. Start here if you need something you can finish this week.
